Hello, my name is Daniel Gallagher.
I’m from the northwest suburbs of Chicago and love the Midwest.
I’ve been designing professionally since 2006 but before that, it started as a hobby when I was a kid.
I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Design from Illinois State University. It was a competitive program that was challenging and provided me with the skill set to be a competent designer in the real world.
I’d already taken graphic design classes in high school, so I had a strong understanding of what this field was about. By taking these classes so early in life, I was able to broaden my knowledge-base. It definitely paid off.
I can do a lot more than make cool looking stuff for the end customer. I know how to make designs that work and can go from a creative concept to a real production piece that is manufactured and can actually be produced. My design work generates revenue and success for the people I work with.
I’m not interested in just making good looking designs; I want a design project that is successful and a customer who is happy.
My Design Philosophy.
Graphic design, is known as a graphic communication that communicates a visual and textual content to an end user. The form of the communication is either physical or virtual, and may include images, words, or graphics. These elements lead the viewer to a message, and then through the message. Graphics that are complex or simple have their places in the design world. Each one of these are not better than the other in terms of being the solution. A designer cannot stick to one type of style to go with for every design project. Each project has a different goal to accomplish in order for the end result to be a successful solution. To get the best solution, you need to research and plan through real-world knowledge. Making a good looking design is easy but creating successful graphic design is and will always be much more than creating pretty pictures. I make the design work in every project I take on.
